Service Description

This intermediate level class meets on the following dates: July 10 • July 17 • July 24 • August 7 • August 14 • August 21 *NOTE: No Class July 31 Already comfortable centering and the basics of throwing? Ready to level up your skills? This class is designed just for you! Six 2-hour sessions focused on helping intermediate potters expand their repertoire, refine technique, and tackle more complex forms and design choices. We’ll dive into projects like: - Throwing taller, thinner, or wider - Creating matching sets and lidded forms - Trimming with intention - Attaching handles, spouts, and feet - Exploring surface decoration and glazing approaches As always, our small group size (max of 6 students) ensures plenty of personalized instruction, troubleshooting, and guidance tailored to where you’re at. We include everything—no extra costs: ✔️ Clay (enough to experiment and push your skills) ✔️ All tools and equipment ✔️ Glazes and cone 10 firings ✔️ Up to 5 extra hours of open studio time for trimming, glazing, or extra throwing NEW FOR SUMMER: Get a bonus Independent Studio Time session if you need to miss a class—so you don’t fall behind or miss out on studio time. No hidden fees. No surprise charges. Just show up and get better at pottery. To give you a sense of value—other studios often charge separately for: • Clay ($25–40 per bag) • Tool kits ($15–20) • Studio time (often limited—we offer flexibility and freedom to grow) That’s over 17 hours of hands-on instruction and studio time for less than $18/hour. Payment Options: Pay online in full or split it into two payments of $150 via cash or Venmo—just let us know when you sign up. What to Bring: - Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting messy - An apron or towel - Long hair tied back + short nails Prerequisite: This class is for potters who can center and throw basic forms independently. If you’re still working on fundamentals, check out our mixed-level class—it’s a great fit for beginners and returners. Ages 12+ For younger students, check out our Maker’s Events, Storytime Sculptures, or summer throwing camps. Refund Policy: We don’t offer refunds, but you're welcome to find someone to take your spot if something comes up.

We’re excited to have you in class! Please take a moment to review our booking policy to ensure a smooth experience for you and our instructors. Cancellations & Refunds All bookings are final. We do not offer refunds or reschedules for missed classes. Please treat your booking like a concert or event ticket. If you can’t make it, feel free to gift your spot to a friend. Just let us know their name ahead of time. Class Attendance Our classes start on time. Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled and ready to work with clay. Missed classes cannot be made up, credited, or refunded. Minimum Enrollment We may cancel or reschedule a class if the minimum number of students isn’t met. In that case, you’ll be notified and issued a full refund or credit.
