Service Description

Celebrate the holidays by making festive crafts that will last a lifetime! "Thumbprint" Christmas trees and Christmas "cookie" ornaments are back for this one-day event. The cost of registration is per person and includes making one ornament or one tree, but have no fear! We know the fun is addicting, so you'll have the option to make more than one once you're here ($10 per ornament/$15 per tree, payable on site). What is a "thumbprint" Christmas tree, you ask? Well, it's easier to show you (there's pictures of them on the promo graphic!), but you'll make the boughs of the tree using your own thumbs (hence the name!). You can decorate it with colored clay (slip) and pick out a glaze before you leave. How can you have a "cookie" ornament? Simple! We use cookie cutters to cut a specific shape out of porcelain. You'll then use colored clay like icing to decorate your clay "cookie" and have a beautiful holiday keepsake ornament. We embed a nichrome wire ornament hook into each one. Because each piece will need to be glazed (ornaments, with a clear glaze to give it a nice sheen) and fired, you won't be able to take them home with you that day, but don't worry! We'll take care of professionally glazing and firing them and they will be ready for pickup in about 2 weeks. *NOTE: If you have more than 7 in your party, please contact us and we'll adjust the pricing accordingly.
