Service Description

This class is all about building a strong foundation in drawing—perfect for upper middle and high school students who want to get better at drawing what they actually see, not just what they think something looks like. We’ll cover the essential building blocks of good art: how to shade, how perspective works, how to get proportions right, and how to use your tools well. Expect a mix of structure and creativity as students learn how to use basic materials to create strong, finished pieces. We’ll spend time honing technique and building confidence through projects like still life studies, shattered value drawings, portraits, and 1- and 2-point perspective scenes. The goal is progress, not perfection—but we do want students walking away with new skills they can really use. Class meets once a week for 75 minutes. Students are encouraged to keep practicing at home throughout the week—it makes a big difference. Students are required to bring their own drawing supplies and paper. A supply list will be sent out in a separate email. Payment Info A $25 deposit is required at time of booking to secure your child's spot. The remaining portion can be paid upfront before the first class or can be split monthly ($50/mo) due the first week of September, October, and November.
