Drawing Intensive June 30 - July 3

Service Description

This 4-day intensive is for students who already have some drawing experience and want to spend a full week focused on portrait work. We’ll work on one portrait from start to finish, slowing things down and paying attention to how each part of the face is built. We’ll spend time on individual features—eyes, nose, mouth, and hair—but also look at how they relate to each other so the final drawing feels cohesive and accurate. A big part of this class is learning to see value and use shading to create depth. We’ll move beyond simple outlines and work on building form, adjusting proportions, and adding detail in a way that actually makes the drawing feel more realistic. There will be short demos and guidance throughout the week, but most of the time will be spent drawing and working through challenges as they come up. This is a good fit for students who are ready to be a little more intentional with their work and want the time and structure to really improve their portraits.
