Intro to Drawing (Wednesdays)

Service Description

This class is designed for younger students who are ready to move beyond casual drawing and start learning how drawing works. We’ll focus on helping students build confidence while developing foundational skills like observation, proportion, line quality, and basic shading. Through guided exercises and simple projects, students will learn how to draw what they see, not just what they imagine. We’ll explore how shapes break down complex objects, how lines can show movement and form, and how small changes can make a big difference in a drawing. The goal is to create a supportive space where students feel encouraged to try, adjust, and grow. Projects will vary and may include animals, everyday objects, imaginative scenes, and simple still life drawings. Emphasis is placed on process and effort rather than perfection. Each class is 75 minutes long. Students are encouraged to practice the lessons at home, although no formal homework is assigned. The studio will be closed (no class) the week of March 15 - 21 for Spring Break. Students are required to bring their own drawing supplies and paper. A supply list will be sent out in a separate email. Payment Info A $25 deposit is required at time of booking to secure your child's spot. The remaining portion can be paid upfront before the first class or can be split monthly ($50/mo) due the first week of February, March, and April.
