Service Description

Two and a half hour class where we walk you through making a project from start to finish. Well, finished in the wet clay stage, anyway. After your class, we'll let the piece dry completely, then we'll fire it, glaze it and put it in for a second firing. Some of the classes we offer are listed below. If you don't see a date listed for a class you're wanting, contact us about private bookings! We never upcharge for private bookings, we just ask that there be a minimum number of participants. These classes are open to all skill levels and are capped at 10 people to ensure a small student-to-teacher ratio. Our instructor will walk you through creating your project using a variety of hand building methods. You'll have the option of decorating your work during the class and you'll choose a single glaze color for it. After the class, our instructor will glaze your piece and fire it twice. Work will be ready to pickup 2-3 weeks after your class. You will be notified by email and text when your piece is ready. Wear comfortable clothing and come ready to have fun! SUMMER 2024 CLASS DATES: June 14 (Friday), 630PM - 9PM: GNOME, SWEET GNOME July 5 (Friday), 630PM - 9PM: CUPS! CUPS! CUPS! Don't see a date the works for you? Contact us to schedule something! GNOME, SWEET GNOME - Enjoy making something a little more decorative as we construct and cut details into gnome/fairy houses. Each participant will get to make up to two houses and we'll focus on adding details such as doors, windows, textures, and more. If there's time, you can even sculpt a small gnome or fairy to go with it! CUPS! CUPS! CUPS! - Our most popular single session class. Having your own handmade cup, made by you, is priceless! This class will focus mostly on hand building techniques (coil, pinch, slab building). CHARCUTERIE BOARD - Use a mold or hand sculpt your own ceramic charcuterie board or serving tray. This class focuses primarily on decorating techniques: pressing textures, carving, slip trailing, adding sprig molds, and more! PLANTERS/FLOWER VASES (including Bud Vases and Wall Planters) - Using a template or free-handing it, you'll use hand building techniques to make a planter or flower vase. This class will focus on basic construction techniques as well as other surface decoration techniques. *This is not an extensive list of class offerings and is subject to change.
