Spoon Rests - June 14, 2:30-4:00pm

Service Description

In this 90-minute handbuilding class, you’ll create your own ceramic spoon rest using simple slab techniques. This is a small, functional project that’s perfect for beginners and a great way to explore working with clay without a long commitment. We’ll start with a quick demo on shaping and forming your spoon rest, then you’ll design your own piece—choosing shape, thickness, and surface detail. You can keep it simple and minimal or add texture and personality to match your kitchen style. This is a relaxed, hands-on class focused on functional pottery you’ll actually use every day. Each spoon rest will come out slightly different, and that individuality is part of what makes handmade work special. At the end of class, you’ll choose a glaze color, and we’ll take care of glazing and firing. Your piece will go through two kiln firings and will be ready for pickup in approximately 2–4 weeks. We provide all clay, tools, materials, and firing—just bring your creativity and we’ll guide you through the rest.
